Outdoor Adventurers: Kayaking in the Adirondacks

Open to Girl Scouts in grades 6–12 and Adult Girl Scouts
Discover the fun of flat-water kayaking while taking in the beautiful autumn scenery and wildlife of the Adirondack Park. First-timers learn basic paddling skills and water safety. Those who are more experienced will expand upon their skill set. We will enjoy two nights of camping with plenty of laughter and storytelling around the campfire. Food, gear, and transportation provided (from a central location within the council).
Participant Fee: $75 per person
Minimum # of participants: 4
Maximum # of participants: 8

Celebrate and discover the power of girls together and tell your story at this overnight event. Dance with your friends, take on the climbing wall, and go swimming. Find out about the history of dance, make art projects, and learn other ways to tell our stories. Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors . . . pamper ourself in our spa room! Bring a canned food to donate in honor of Make a difference Day.
Participant Fee: $20 per girl; $20 per adult; adults who volunteer for four hours can enjoy this event for free!
