JOBS

The following jobs are available for the 2008 camp season at Camp Agaliha! 

Unit Staff/Counselor:

Primary responsibility is the supervision and care of the children assigned to the unit. Plans and executes a program suitable for age level and specialty program choice of campers. Ensures that all staff and campers give input to the program. Assist with the opening and closing of all areas of camp.

Waterfront Director:

Responsibilities include establishing rules and regulations for both swimming and boating in order to keep in line with state codes and ACA standards, planning and carrying out waterfront programs with Waterfront Assistants, maintaining waterfront equipment, and assisting where needed as directed by the Camp Director. Candidate must hold current certifications, have the ability to handle emergency situations, and enjoy working with children. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age with three years of waterfront experience.

Food Service Manager:

Primary responsibilities include planning menus with the Camp Director within food budgets, and preparation of all meals. Supervises the set-up of the kitchen, cooler, and storerooms. Supervises staff assigned to the kitchen.

Assistant Cook:

Assist in the food preparation under the supervision of the Food Service Manager. Assist in the supervision of the kitchen aides, as deemed necessary by the Food Service Manager and assumes responsibility in his/her absence. Assist where needed as directed by the Camp Director.

Health Supervisor:

Responsible for the health and safety of the campers and staff at all times. Screens campers on incoming days. Keeps informed of each camper’s and staff’s health record and remains aware of any special needs. Supervises sanitation and safety throughout camp. Candidate must currently hold a license as an RN, LPN, PA, or EMT and hold certification in Advanced First Aid and BLS CPR. Must also have the ability to handle emergency situations and drive a vehicle in the event of an emergency.
