Membership Specialists work throughout the membership year to support and mentor existing girl and adult members in assigned geographic areas, as well as recruitment and marketing of Girl Scout programs to new members. Efforts are focused on getting volunteers and girls running smoothly at the troop level and helping each community build a strong Girl Scout presence.
Program Specialists deliver valuable programs and activities throughout the membership year. Please check our calendar for upcoming program opportunities. They work with girls to plan and implement successful program offerings that enrich the experiences of Girl Scouts in the Foothills Council.
The Volunteer Development Specialist works in collaboration with the membership specialists and training corps to recruit volunteers wishing help the organization in a variety of ways; provides volunteers with the tools and training needed to have a successful and fulfilling experience; and serves as the staff advisor for the awards task group as a means to providing volunteers with recognition for their efforts. The Volunteer Development Specialist is also responsible for ensuring that the girls in our council have safe and knowledgeable individuals volunteering at their meeting, events and field trips by completing criminal background checks on all volunteers and maintaining training modules that fulfill the GSUSA Safety-wise standards.
